Dunwoody Schedule Summer 2012

This summer, ApprenticeTrack will be conducting a ten-week project development cycle for Dunwoody students. The program will begin June 12 and meet weekly for 10 weeks, ending on August 21. The program is free of charge and will meet on Tuesday nights from 5-9 PM at Dunwoody. The team will plan and develop a Technology Ticket-tracking system for use in help-desk and technology support.

During the ten-week program, participants will have the opportunity to meet and network with Dunwoody graduates and students who have made their way into the technology workforce, as well as the opportunity to work side by side with those who have been through the ApprenticeTrack program. The schedule for the program is as follows:

  • June 12: Introduction to APTK, Agile/Phazeline, A-Ticket Project, Team Formation

  • June 19: Project Planning and Requirements Gathering, Backlog Generation, Database Modeling, Familiarization with existing code-base.

  • June 26: Phaze 1 - Fast Prototype Development

  • July 10: Phaze 2 – A-Ticket Technician Functionality, part 1

  • July 17: Phaze 3 – A-Ticket Technician Functionality, part 2

  • July 24: Phaze 4 – A-Ticket Client-Side Functionality, part 1

  • July 31: Phaze 5 – A-Ticket Client-Side Functionality, part 2

  • Aug 7: Phaze 6 – A-Ticket Management/Reporting Functionality, part 1

  • Aug 14: Phaze 7 – A-Ticket Management/Reporting Functionality, part 2

  • Aug 21: Project Wrap-Up and Retrospective
